Mesh Filter Bags
Mesh filter bags are surface filtration media designed to retain particles on the surface of the filter material. Unlike depth filtration media, contaminants are captured on the mesh surface, allowing for high flow rates, low pressure drop, and easy cleaning or replacement.
Mesh filter bags are particularly suitable for applications involving larger particle sizes and are commonly used in:
- Pre-filtration systems
- Paint, coatings, and ink processes
- Cooling water and process water filtration
- Pump protection
- Removal of coarse contaminants from process streams
About this product
Mesh filter bags are manufactured from woven monofilament mesh and operate according to the principle of surface filtration. Contaminants are retained on the surface of the filter media.
One of the key advantages of mesh filter bags is their reusability. Because contaminants are captured on the surface of the mesh rather than within the media structure, the bags can often be cleaned and returned to service.
The filtration mechanism is simple and predictable: particles larger than the mesh opening are retained on the surface of the filter bag, while particles smaller than the mesh opening pass through the media. This provides a well-defined filtration rating and consistent performance throughout the service life of the filter bag.

- 2.5 bar ΔP
Micron ratings:
- 1 µm to 2000 µm

- Length 1: 430mm x Ø180mm (surface area approx. 0.25m²)
- Length 2: 810mm x Ø180mm (surface area approx. 0.50m²)
- Length 3: 230mm x Ø105mm (surface area approx. 0.07m²)
- Length 4: 380mm x Ø105mm (surface area approx. 0.12m²)
- Length 5: 528mm x Ø152mm (surface area approx. 0.20m²) (for X100 filter housing)
