Needle-Felt Filter Bags
Needle-felt filter bags are depth filtration media designed to capture contaminants throughout the thickness of the filter material. Unlike mesh filter bags, which retain particles on the surface, needle-felt bags trap particles within the filter structure, providing high dirt-holding capacity and extended service life.
Needle-felt filter bags are particularly suitable for applications involving fine particulate contamination and are commonly used in:

About this product
Needle-felt filter bags are manufactured from a needle-punched felt media and operate according to the principle of depth filtration. Contaminants are captured throughout the thickness of the filter media rather than solely on the surface, resulting in a high dirt-holding capacity and extended service life.
The multi-layer fibre structure creates a complex network of flow paths with varying pore sizes. As fluid passes through the filter bag, larger particles are retained near the surface while finer particles are captured progressively deeper within the media. This depth filtration mechanism allows needle felt filter bags to accommodate significantly higher contaminant loads than comparable mesh filter bags.
As a result, needle-felt filter bags typically provide longer operating life, stable filtration performance, and excellent contaminant retention in applications with moderate to high solids loading.

- Length 2: 810mm x Ø180mm (surface area approx. 0.50m²)
- Length 3: 230mm x Ø105mm (surface area approx. 0.07m²)
- Length 4: 380mm x Ø105mm (surface area approx. 0.12m²)
- Length 5: 528mm x Ø152mm (surface area approx. 0.20m²) (for X100 filter housing)
