Meltblown Filter Cartridges
Meltblown filter cartridges are depth filters that capture contaminants throughout the depth of the filter media. Their graded density structure ensures that larger particles are retained near the outer surface of the cartridge, while finer particles are captured progressively deeper within the media, closer to the core.
Thanks to their excellent chemical compatibility, meltblown filter cartridges are suitable for a wide range of filtration applications. Techno Filter supplies meltblown filter cartridges in both nominal and absolute-rated configurations, allowing the appropriate filtration efficiency to be selected for each application.
About this product
Meltblown filter cartridges are available in a range of materials, including polypropylene, polyester, and nylon. This variety of media ensures excellent chemical compatibility and makes meltblown cartridges suitable for a wide range of filtration applications.
Manufactured using 100% virgin fibres, these filter cartridges comply with EC 1935/2004 requirements for food-contact materials, making them suitable for use in food and beverage processing applications.
They are often considered an excellent alternative to wound filter cartridges, as their graded density structure typically provides higher filtration efficiency, improved contaminant retention, and reduced fibre shedding compared with conventional wound cartridges.
The maximum operating temperature of meltblown filter cartridges depends on the filter media used:
- Polypropylene up to 80°C (maximum differential pressure of 0.5 bar at elevated temperature)
- Polyester up to 120°C
- Nylon up to 135°C
Maximum recommended differential pressure (ΔP):
- 2.0 – 2.5 bar ΔP
Meltblown filter cartridges are available in lengths ranging from:
- 5 inch to 60 inch
Meltblown filter cartridges are available with retention ratings ranging from:
- 0.5 µm tot 100 µm
The standard meltblown filter cartridge has an outer diameter of 63mm. A larger 115mm diameter version, known as the Big Blue type, is also available. Furthermore, a wide range of connection and end cap configurations can be supplied. Contact us to discuss the available options.
