Oil-adsorbing filter cartridges are specifically designed for the removal of free, dispersed, and emulsified hydrocarbons from water and other process fluids. They provide an effective solution for applications where oil contamination must be reduced prior to discharge, reuse, or further treatment.
In many industrial and environmental applications, oil contamination can lead to operational issues, environmental concerns, and regulatory compliance challenges. While activated carbon is often used for the removal of trace hydrocarbons and dissolved organic compounds, higher concentrations of oil typically require a dedicated oil-removal solution.
Techno Filter oil-adsorbing filter cartridges utilise specialised oleophilic media that selectively absorb hydrocarbons while allowing water to pass through. As the filter media becomes saturated, the cartridge progressively restricts flow, helping to prevent hydrocarbon bypass and ensuring reliable filtration performance throughout its service life.
Depending on the application and operating conditions, oil removal efficiencies of up to 99% can be achieved.
