High Flow Filter Housings
High flow filter housings are designed for the efficient filtration of large liquid volumes in industrial processes. Engineered for use with high flow filter cartridges, these housings combine exceptionally high flow capacity with low differential pressure and reliable process performance.
Available in both single-element and multi-element configurations, high flow filter housings can be tailored to suit a wide range of flow rates and process requirements.
A key advantage of high flow filtration is the significant reduction in the number of filter cartridges required compared to conventional cartridge filtration systems. In many applications, a single high flow filter cartridge can replace multiple standard filter cartridges, resulting in a more compact filtration system, reduced maintenance requirements, and faster filter change-outs.
High flow filter housings are particularly well suited to applications involving high flow rates and relatively low contaminant loads, where they offer clear operational and economic advantages over conventional filtration systems.
Suitable for a wide range of liquids
High flow filter housings are suitable for a wide variety of liquids, including water, process fluids, cooling water, rinse water, chemicals, oils, fuels, and food or pharmaceutical products.
Selecting the appropriate housing material and seal configuration ensures optimum chemical compatibility, reliable operation, and a long service life tailored to the specific process fluid and operating conditions.
Materials, Pressure ratings, and Temperature ranges
High flow filter housings are available in stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316L, with alternative materials available for specific process requirements or aggressive media.
Standard stainless steel housings are suitable for operating pressures up to approximately 10 bar and temperatures up to 150°C, depending on the housing design and sealing materials used.
For demanding applications involving elevated pressures, temperatures, or specialised design requirements, custom-engineered housing solutions are also available. Our filtration specialists will be pleased to advise on the most suitable configuration for your process.
Connections, Closures, Venting, and Drains
High flow filter housings are available with a wide range of connection options, including threaded and flanged connections in various sizes and configurations. Customer-specific connection designs are also available to suit individual process requirements.
Depending on the housing design, units can be equipped with either quick-opening clamp closures or bolted closures to facilitate safe and efficient maintenance and rapid filter cartridge replacement.
To support safe and effective operation, high flow filter housings can also be fitted with vent and drain connections. These features simplify filling, venting, draining, cleaning, and maintenance procedures while helping to improve process safety and operational efficiency.
Horizontal and Vertical configurations
High flow filter housings are available in both horizontal and vertical configurations, allowing the most suitable arrangement to be selected based on the available installation space and maintenance requirements.
Vertical housings are often preferred where floor space is limited, making efficient use of the available footprint. Horizontal housings are particularly advantageous in plant rooms and technical areas with restricted ceiling height, where the removal of long filter cartridges from a vertical housing may be impractical.
With a horizontal high flow filter housing, filter cartridges can be removed from the side of the housing, simplifying maintenance procedures and filter change-outs while reducing the need for additional overhead clearance. This allows maintenance to be carried out safely, efficiently, and without structural modifications to the installation.
Single and Multi-element High Flow filter housings
Our high flow filter housings are available in both single-element and multi-element configurations. Multi-element housings allow several high flow filter cartridges to operate in parallel, providing exceptionally high flow capacities while maintaining a low differential pressure and a compact system footprint.
This design enables large volumes of liquid to be processed using relatively few filter elements, reducing maintenance requirements and simplifying filter change-outs. High flow filter housings are therefore particularly well suited to large-scale, continuous industrial processes where efficiency, reliability, and operational cost savings are important considerations.
Compliance with laws and regulations
All high flow filter housings are manufactured in accordance with applicable legislation, standards, and industry requirements, including the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) where applicable, as well as relevant hygiene and certification standards.
This ensures that your filtration system meets the required safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
